Cemetery Critters

I would like to introduce you to Arthur Treadway.

He lives in a tree on the grounds of the Riverside Cemetery in Asheville, NC. His extended family (not to mention numerous ex-wives) roam the property freely, frolicking happily amongst the vaults and mausoleums. However, life amidst the graves is not all it’s cracked up to be, for Arthur and his compatriots live in mortal fear of another resident of the cemetery: Chester Buncombe.

Arthur refuses to talk about why Chester holds such animosity against him, but the rumors are that it involves some traumatic event that happened in their childhood. Like some sort of terrible bruiser, Chester usually lies in wait for Arthur and his family and then waddles out into the open, pointing his finger at young Mr. Treadway and making wildly false accusations against him. To the average observer, Chester comes off as being a mere asshole, but what could be the root cause of his dislike of Arthur?

The dead, like silent observers at a tennis match that don’t have to strain their necks by looking back and forth, watch these two closely, because their antics are starting to create a hostile decomposing environment at Riverside Cemetery. Can a lawsuit be far behind?

Join me, as we try to answer these questions and more, on “Cemetery Critters.”
